Product overview

Design and operating characteristics

High-voltage windings may use multilayer cylindrical or continuous winding structures to improve impulse-voltage distribution. Low-voltage windings can be designed with cylindrical or helical structures to provide balanced ampere-turn distribution and strong resistance to mechanical forces during short-circuit events.

The transformer active part incorporates positioning and fastening systems to reduce movement during transportation and long-term operation. Grain-oriented silicon steel and optimized joint construction help reduce core losses and operating noise. External surfaces can be treated for humid, polluted, industrial or coastal environments.
